SOUND ENCLOSED UNITS

Silent rotary compressors reduce noise levels to 61 dB(A) at 3 feet. No other compressor on the market today is quieter or more cost-effective than the Mattei sound attenuated (AC) units. Designed for continuous operation, the Mattei AC models are available from 5 to 150 HP.

 
 

ROTO STATOR UNIT

The heart of the rotary vane compressor is the precision machined RSU, subjected to stringent quality inspections to ensure a long, trouble free life. With proper lubrication, metal-to-metal contact between the rotor blades and the stator wall is impossible. Blades are made of
high-strength Meehanite cast iron and wear is insignificant even after 50,000 hours.

 

PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION

1. Air is drawn past intake air filter and intake modulation valve into Roto Stator unit

2. When eccentrically mounted rotor turns, compression takes place because of diminishing volume in the chamber

3. In final stages of compression oil is injected into compression chamber to lubricate, seal and absorb heat of compression. Rotor, blades, stator and bearings are coated with oil at all times.

4. After air is compressed, it passes through an efficient separation system to remove oil.

5. The cool, pulse free clean air then passes through a minimum pressure/check valve to air delivery system.

 

CLEAN OIL FREE AIR

Mattei Compressors have an oil carryover of only 1-3 ppm. Compressors run cool due to minimal friction heat generated.

The Mattei advanced separation system provides the cleanest air possible from any commercial rotary compressor on the market. A highly efficient system removes oil, minimizing pressure drops to 2 - 3 PSI. Borosilicate fiberglass elements remove oil, reducing carryover to a maximum of 1 - 3 PPM pulse free air to your system
