The Technology of Modern Filtration

FILTERS AND SEPARATORS FOR AIR COMPRESSORS

Compressed air is essential in many industries. Clean, oil-free air is required to reduce maintenance costs. Keltec-Technolab manufactures a wide range of air-oil separators for air compressors and vacuum packages, as well as air inlet, oil and coalescing type filters, that when used together, provide the ultimate in system operation and protection. These compressor filters are suitable replacements for all major competitive interchanges and have successfully replaced all other major brands of OEM and replacement filters in literally tens of thousands of applications.

The manufacturer guarantees that its filters will meet or exceed the specifications and performance of the OEM, and further, that customers replacing OEM filters with
Keltec-Technolab filters will experience no filter related difficulty.

As Master Distributor in Canada, CompreVac carries a complete line of high-efficiency separators for oil removal from rotary screw, vane and refrigeration compressors. We offer a complete line of filters and separators cross referenced to all major compressor manufacturers.

OIL SEPARATORS

Conventional Wrap Style

The standard conventional oil separator is the original design for the removal of oil aerosols from the compressed air stream.

Pleated Air-Oil Styles

The pleated filter media increases the capacity of a given sized air-oil separator by approximately 2x the air flow capacity.

Deep Filter Styles

The deep filter product achieves increased airflow capacity very similar to that of the pleated air separator, while maintaining a low initial pressure drop and residual oil content. Field testing has demonstrated an improvement in oil separation, especially in applications where more oil aerosol than normal is contained in the compressed air.

Spin-On Type

This deep-bed type of separator element is housed in a pressure resistant body, or "can", cannot open this segment on and is extremely easy to replace.

Refrigeration and Natural Gas

Special inorganic materials are required for the construction of properly functioning oil separators in refrigeration and natural gas compressor packages. Care must be given to the selection of all materials in order to ensure proper functioning of the separator. Keltec-Technolab has the longest history of successful oil separation technology in this field, from the coalescing materials to the sealing methods used.

COALESCING FILTERS

Often compressed air must be further filtered, depending on the needs of the application. This is effectively done through the use of a downstream coalescing filter or series of filters.

Since atmospheric air typically contains water, oil vapour and other contaminants, the use of coalescing filters is essential to prevent their accumulation in pneumatic machinery.

AIR FILTERS FOR AIR COMPRESSORS AND VACUUM PUMPS

Our full line of air intake filters is designed to eliminate contaminants at the air intake by a compressor or pump. Air filters are produced with resin impregnated cellulose or synthetic polyester filter media, in either plastisol, metal-end or metal free construction. CompreVac carries a wide variety of filter element designs, in vertical or horizontal mounting.

OIL SEPARATORS FOR VACUUM PUMPS

Oil separators for vacuum packages are similar in construction to those used in air compressors, offering the same type of oil removal performance: 1 - 3 ppm / 1 - 3 mg/ m3 . They are suitable to a maximum pressure differential of 22 psi/1.5 bar.
